Today (August 29, 2018), would have been your 60th birthday! I celebrate you on today! As the "King of Pop" you are a musical genius, a global icon!
For decades you brought us music and music videos that transcended all boundaries and barriers and continue to captivate many of us...from "Thriller," "Smooth Criminal," and "Rock With You," to "Man in the Mirror," "You Are Not Alone" and "Heal the World."
You were inducted onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 as a member of the Jacksons and again in 1984 as a solo artist.
You have received numerous awards over the years including the World Music Award's "Artist of the Century Award," and numerous others!
With estimated sales of over 350 million records worldwide, you are one of the best-selling artists in music history!
Michael Jackson, I honor you today as you cared so much for so many people around the world! You supported so many charities, including the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
In 1985 you penned a song with Lionel Richie titled "We Are The World," that raised millions of dollars for famine relief in Africa. Michael Jackson, thank you for everything! Thank you so much! You have left an indelible mark in the hearts of many, and your legacy will live on forever!
I appreciate everything that the Jackson family has done for me, and I will do all I can to bring peace and harmony to the world.
