That Legendary Stage!

In the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City is a legendary music hall noted for it's rich history in entertainment. The Apollo Theater grew to prominence during the Harlem Renaissance, and is known all across the world for it's gritty crowd. It has often been said that if you can make it at the Apollo, you can make it anywhere.

At the Apollo Theater, if the crowd booes loud enough and long enough you will see "the executioner," a man who sweeps performers off the stage because the crowd is displeased with the performance.

However, the Apollo Theater is also the place "where stars are born and legends are made!"

The Apollo is famous for launching the careers of many in the entertainment industry including: Ella Fitzgerald, Jimi Hendrix, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Ne-Yo, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5!

And now, Ziynne - Kid of Pop has been invited to grace the legendary Apollo Theater stage!

The Kid of Pop is no stranger to the Apollo Theater as he is a 2-time First Place winner there. The Kid of Pop is one of the Apollo Theater's Childstars and he is scheduled to perform on Wednesday, June 27th.

This show will be hosted by the comedian Capone and is sponsored by Coca-Cola. The show starts at 7:30 PM, and there will also be a festive pre-party featuring video and music by DJ Jess and the "Set It Off Man" Joe Gray.
