Biography

ZIYNNE is an accomplished entertainer that started dancing at the tender age of two. The turning point for Ziynne is when he watched the Michael Jackson documentary, This Is It.  From that day, Ziynne became known as the 'Kid of Pop!' 

 

Born in Toledo Ohio, the 'Kid of Pop' is dynamic, bringing enthusiasm to events, concerts, and festivals across the United States!

Ziynne has even performed with one of the most famous families in entertainment, The Jacksons! Ziynne performed with Jackie, Tito, and Marlon Jackson, members of the legendary group The Jackson 5 and brothers of the iconic Michael Jackson! Ziynne also performed at Katherine Jackson's 7th annual Michael Jackson tribute held in Gary Indiana.

 

When speaking about Ziynne the renowned brothers were impressed stating, "Ziynne is like watching our little brother Michael all over again. Ziynne is our little brother!"

 

Ziynne is truly the 'Kid of Pop!'

He is sought after in the United States an abroad, having performance requests from as far away as the United Kingdom, Netherlands an Indonesia.

 

From Rock and Roll, Blues, R&B, and Pop...the 'Kid of Pop' has performed in the same concert lineup as some industry greats including: Marzette Griffith from the Chi-Lites, Jazz and Sisqo from Dru Hill, Ludacris, Boyz II Men, Bishop Marvin Sapp, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Pauly Shore, Spin Doctors, Martina McBride, Dustin Lynch, Hinder, C+C Music Factory, and many more!

Ziynne's artistic influences are James Brown and Michael Jackson.  His ability to captivate audiences with his electrifying dance moves have garnered him national recognition and success. Ziynne has received numerous awards, too many to list them all.

​

However, a few of his most notable achievements are: Performing with the legendary Jacksons, traveling on the 90's Fest tour and performing alongside the best-selling American girl group TLC, being a guest performer along with the Tony Award winner actress and songstress Melba Moore at the 89th birthday celebration of the iconic Jackson's patriarch Joseph Jackson, receiving the Jabir Herbert Muhammad Lifetime Achievement Award presented to him by the Dinahlynn Biggs Show and promoter, producer, and music mogul Joe Ali of the Grammy Award winning group Kool and the Gang, performing with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra directed by Grammy Award nominee Conductor Sara Jobin, and performing on the daytime talk show Windy City Live which broadcast on ABC in the Chicago viewing area.

The 'Kid of Pop' is a 2-time first place winner at the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York City.  He has performed there numerous times as one of their child stars, including performing in front of a sold out crowd of 1,500-plus during their Amateur Night sponsored by Coca-Cola.  He is also in the film titled The Apollo, which is a documentary produced by White Horse Pictures and directed by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Roger Ross Williams.  The Apollo film premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival with additional screenings before airing on HBO.  Ziynne also made cameo appearances in episodes 1 and 4 of America's Got Talent - Season 11 on NBC.

Ziynne has a love for sports and enjoys performing halftime shows at sporting events. He was on ESPN's SportsCenter while performing at the University of Notre Dame men's basketball game against Clemson University.  He also performed at the University of Notre Dame women's basketball game against Robert Morris University during Round 1 of the 2017 NCAA March Madness. 

 

In 2019, the halftime performance by the 'Kid of Pop' during the NCAA March Madness women's basketball game between Bethune-Cookman University and the University of Notre Dame went viral, and the estate of the iconic Michael Jackson tweeted the performance to Michael Jackson's 2.1 million followers, and placed the performance video on the official website of Michael Jackson!

He was invited to join the New York Knicks Youth Dance Team for the 2016-2017 NBA season, to perform at their home games at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  

 

Ziynne also performed the halftime show during the Atlanta Dream vs. Washington Mystics WNBA game in Atlanta, GA.  This was the Dream Pink game for the Atlanta Dream.  Ziynne donated autographed items and participated in the auction after the game. All proceeds from the auction went towards the Grady Health Foundation to assist them in bringing awareness to cancer.

He was televised on Fox Sports South during his appearance at the Atlanta Dream game.  Other notable individuals in attendance included NBA All Star Dwight Howard and WNBA All Star Chasity Melvin.


The 'Kid of Pop' has been on the show Remember This, which airs on FIOS and Time Warner Cable in the New York City Market, along with numerous interviews on both TV and radio. He has also been featured in several publications.

Ziynne has worked with Ian Eastwood from the TV show World of Dance.  Ian Eastwood is a dancer and choreographer who has worked with Justin Beiber and many others.

​

While in Los Angeles,  Ziynne had the opportunity to work with Hip Hop choreographer Jabari Odom at the famed Millennium Dance Complex.  Jabari Odom has worked with many including: Miley Cyrus, Ginuwine, Trey Songz, Omarion, and Usher.

 

Having remarkable stage presence and charisma, Ziynne truly has a gift to dance and perform.  It is with this gift that the 'Kid of Pop' is one of the industry's next rising stars!
